Requirements of "Voting Members"
I. A born again experience with a testimony of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord, acceptance of our Statement of Faith, a spirit of cooperation with our fellowship, and support the church financially.
II. Baptized in water or preparing to do such
III. Be baptized in the Holy Spirit with the initial physical evidence of speaking in other tongues or earnestly seeking according to Acts 2:4.
IV. Give evidence of a consistent Christian life (Romans 6:4; 8:1-4; 13:13-14; Eph. 4:17-32; 5:1-2; I John 1:6-7) and both disapprove of and refrain from participating in those activities and amusements which liberties, when exercised, could become stumbling blocks, offenses or occasions of falling to weaker Christian. Romans 14:1-5; I Cor. 8.
A. Disapprove of and refrain from immoral practices.
B. Protect your family, testimony, health and personal integrity by abstaining from drinking intoxicating beverages of any kind, the use of tobacco in any form, and the use of habit forming and/or mind or behavior-altering drugs or substances, (excluding physician prescribed drugs) living free of those sins mentioned in Gal. 5:19-21.
V. Contribute regularly to the financial support of this church with tithes and offerings.
VI. Ascribe to the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God.
VII. To vote in church business meetings, a voting member must be 18 years of age and *must have attended church at least 6 months.
*VII. Be consistent in personal devotions.
Requirements of "Youth Members"
Youth membership is the same as that of voting members, however due to legal constraints they may not vote until 18 years of age.
*Requirements of "Fellowship (Non-Voting) Members"
Our fellowship membership consist of persons 18 years or older, who are new to Assembly, and who have not transferred in a membership in good standing, and who have not yet been able to overcome habits inconsistent with a born again testimony.
*These items are not officially added to the bylaws, but are basic to the implications of said document and supported by all those in church leadership.
